The Giants are coming into this game off of their 1st win of the season which was a huge comeback win against the Cardinals on the road. They won that game 31-28 after the Cardinals collapsed in the 2nd half, but the Giants did not play that great themselves. They were completely shut out by the Cardinals in the 1st half as their offense struggled a lot and the Cardinals have one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. The Giants also lost a huge piece of their offense in Saquon Barkley in that game and now they are going up against a 49ers team with a much better defense. The Giants struggled in week 1 against a very good defense in the Cowboys as they failed to score a point at home and now they are on the road against this 49ers defense who has a Super Bowl roster from top to bottom. The 49ers have one of the best teams in the NFL this season and their defense is going to shut down Daniel Jones and whatever offense he has left without Barkley. The 49ers are also playing their home opener after winning both games to start the season and they have way more talent on offense to burn this Giants defense, even without Aiyuk. Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey are enough to spread this Giants defense but they also have a very good QB in Brock Purdy who leads this offense well and has led to them to an average of over 30 points scored per game at home when he has been the starter. The Giants are also on a short week here and they do not have the weapons to compete in this game. The 49ers will cover the spread here.
