SMU is coming into this game at 2-1 this season and they have improved a lot from last year. They are a much better team with a much stronger offense and they have played well in their first 3 games. They scored 38 points against LA Tech and 69 points against Prairie View in their last game. The only game that their offense was not great in was against Oklahoma as they lost 28-11, but Oklahoma also has a very good defense and is one of the best teams in the country. SMU not only has a good offense, but their defense has also been good as they shut out their FCS opponent, allowed 14 points against LA Tech, and held Oklahoma to just 28 points as they were right in that game until the 4th quarter. They are going up against a TCU team that is also 2-1 this season but their wins came against an FCS team in Nicholls State and an awful Houston team who has had offensive troubles in all 3 of their games this year. They are coming off of that big 36-13 win against Houston which was also on the road and this is going to be a let down spot for them as they poured a lot into that game to beat Houston on the road in their Big 12 debut. This is also a rivalry game between these two but TCU does not feel the same way as they are trying to get away from this rivalry while SMU is very upset and they are going to be ready for this game as a win here will be one of the biggest wins for them of the season. There is nothing they want more than to win this game so they are going to pour everything they have into this to beat TCU and they have the offense to shred this bad TCU defense as Colorado did in week 1. SMU also has a very good defense that will get TCU's offense off the field, especially in this let down spot. SMU is going to cover the spread in this game.
