Clemson is coming into this game off of a loss to Florida State in their last game which has now given them their 2nd ACC loss of the season. They did have a chance to beat Florida State as they were right in that game until the end and even had the lead at times, but they ended up losing at home in OT as they found a way to lose the game. Their defense played well in that loss but their offense has struggled in every game this season and a big part of that has been Cade Klubnik and how inaccurate he is. Their only 2 wins this season have come against FAU who is not very good and an FCS team in Charleston Southern. Their 2 games against much stronger opponents were both conference losses as they lost to Duke and FSU, scoring just 31 points between those 2 games. Their defense has also been allowing a lot of points in these conference games as they have allowed at least 28 points in each, 1 being at home and the other on the road. They are going up against a Syracuse team that has improved a lot from last year and they have been playing very well this season as they are 4-0. Their defense has been very impressive at home this year as they held an FCS opponent as well as a MAC opponent to just 7 points or less and they also held Army to 16 points in their last game when Army's offense was rolling into that game very hot. Syracuse also plays Clemson very tough as they have kept 4 of their last 6 meetings within 6 points, including their last 2 games against them the last 2 years. Syracuse is also at home where they have been playing very well recently while Clemson has only played 1 road game this year and lost 28-7 to Duke. Clemson's offense will struggle against this good Syracuse defense and they will make Klubnik pay with his inaccurate throws. Syracuse will cover the spread in this game.
