The Jaguars are coming into this game playing very well recently as they have won their last 3 straight games and their defense has been playing very well in those. They have allowed 20 points or less in each of their last 3 games and they have held some good offenses down like the Bills and the Colts in their last 2 games. They are going up against a Saints team that has been very inconsistent as they have lost 3 of their last 4 games but the one place they have been very consistent is on the defensive side of the ball. Their defense has allowed 20 points or less in 5 of their 6 games this season and they have one of the best defenses in the NFL this year that has been keeping a lot of offenses from scoring touchdowns. The Jaguars have been playing well recently but this is one of the tougher defenses they have faced this year and they are going to struggle to move the ball here on the road, especially if Lawrence misses this game and Beathard has to start. This is also an awful spot for the offense as they have played 1 home game since spending 2 weeks in England and now go on the road again on a short week with a banged up offense. The Saints have not been any better on offense though as they have scored just 17 points or less in 3 of their last 4 games as Carr has struggled to get things going. They also have some injuries to their weapons on offense now and with this being a short week, both teams are going to lean on their good defenses here. This is going to be a low scoring and defensive game that stays under the total.
