Texas is coming into this game with a 5-1 record and they are coming off of their 1st loss of the season in their last game. They lost to Oklahoma in a big rivalry game and they are also coming out of their bye week so they have been sitting on that loss for 2 weeks. Texas is still ranked number 8 in the country and they are going to be focused on running the table now while also running up scores to get another shot at Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship and possibly keep their playoff hopes alive. They are going to be very upset over that loss and will be looking to take it out on Houston who does not have nearly as much talent as Texas. Houston is also in an awful spot as they are coming off of an emotional win last week, winning their 1st conference game as a Big 12 team with a Hail Mary over West Virginia. Houston is going to have a let down here as they have struggled in many other games this season, losing their other 2 Big 12 games by 21 points or more in each. Texas has already been blowing teams out this season with 4 wins by 21 points or more and 3 wins by 27 points or more, they are only going to be more focused on running up the score now that they have a loss. Houston is not going to have much of a home advantage in this game either. Texas is going to cover the spread in this game.
