Marshall is coming into this game with a 4-3 record this season as they have lost their last 3 straight games after starting the year 4-0. They have had some tough matchups in that span though as they lost on the road in a close game against NC State and had to follow up with a loss against Georgia State in their 2nd straight road game. They also lost their last game at home but that was against James Madison who is 7-0 and their defense played very well as they only lost 20-9. Marshall is on the road again but this is a great bounce back spot for them to snap their losing streak. They are going up against a Coastal Carolina team that is also 4-3 this season and have won their last 2 straight games, but those wins also came against a 3-4 App State as well as a 3-4 Arkansas State. Coastal Carolina struggled in their other 2 conference games against teams with winning records as they lost by double digits to both Georgia State and Georgia Southern. Coastal is also going to be without Grayson McCall in this game and their offense has already been struggling to score points with him leading it. Coastal Carolina does not have the defense to stop Marshall on offense and Marshall will follow up their last game with another great defensive performance as they look to snap a losing streak.
