The Colts are coming into this game with a 3-5 record this season and they have lost their last 3 straight games as well but they have not been playing poorly in those games. They lost their last 2 games at home including an 11 point loss against the Saints but the week prior they almost beat the Browns as they only lost by 1 point. The offense has been performing well recently with Minshew taking over for the injured Richardson as the Colts have scored at least 27 points in each of their last 2 games and the production of this offense can be credited to Shane Steichen as even with Richardson starting they have been very efficient, scoring at least 20 points in all 8 of their games this season. The Colts have a very good offense that has been scoring points no matter who is at QB and they are going to be hungry to snap this 3 game losing streak against one of the worst teams in the NFL this year, especially since the Colts have actually been better on the road with a 2-1 road record this season. They are going up against a Panthers team that is 1-6 overall and is coming off of their 1st win of the season in their last game. They beat the Texans at home in that game but they only won 15-13 as their offense did not perform very well. The Panthers have had a big problem on offense this year as Young clearly needs some time to get used to the NFL but there offense has actually been significantly worse at home this year as they have failed to score more than 17 points in any of their 3 home games, but they have scored over 20 points in each of their last 3 road games. The Panthers offense has been under a lot of pressure at home this season with the way they have been performing and the Colts have actually been better on the road in a similar way. This is a massive mismatch with the talent on each team here. The Colts are going to cover the spread in this game.
