Middle Tennessee is coming into this game with a 3-2 record this season but they have not been playing that well in their games. They opened their season with a big win at home against Northern Kentucky but followed up with a close OT win at home against SFA right after. They have been much worse recently as they have lost 2 of their last 3 games with their only win in that span coming against Milligan who is not a Division I school. They lost at home by 2 to Western Carolina in that span as well as coming off of a loss against UAB at home in their last game. This is also their 1st game played away from home this season as all 5 have been at home up to this point. They are going up against an Illinois Chicago team that is 3-1 this season and they have been playing well recently. Their only loss of the season came in their 1st game as they lost to Cincinnati on the road by 11, but they have won their last 3 games since then. They blew out Little Rock at home by 10+ points as well as Aurora in their last game who is not a Division I school, but they also have a quality road win against Loyola Chicago as they beat them by 5 points. Middle Tennessee has had a weak schedule which they have not played well through and have been at home in every game while UIC is at least battle tested in 2 road games and have been playing against stronger opponents.
