Furman is coming into this game with a 3-2 record this season. They are going up against a UAB team that is also 3-2 this season and UAB has been playing very well in their games. Their 2 losses came in their first 2 games of the season as they lost a close game at home against Bradley in OT, losing by 2 points, and they followed up with a 1 point loss against Clemson at a neutral location. They also have a quality win this year with a 3 point win against Maryland at a neutral location. UAB has won their last 3 straight games and they have been playing well against tougher opponents, but they have also been playing down to their competition. They won their last 2 games after getting their 1st win of the season against Maryland but they only beat Alcorn State at home by 3 points who is 1-7 after 8 games this year and they are coming off of a very close road win against Middle Tennessee by 1 point. UAB has been good this season but they do not blow teams out when they win and if they win this game at home against a very good Furman team, it is going to be a close game as Furman will keep it close while UAB does not dominate and pull away.
