St. John's is coming into this game with a 4-2 record this season but they have been very inconsistent in their games this year. They have 2 wins at home against much weaker teams but they also have a bad loss by 10+ points at home against Michigan. They also have 2 wins at neutral locations against North Texas and Utah but also lost to Dayton in between those wins. This is also going to be their 1st true road game of the season and St. John's has not really been tested a lot this season with their new head coach and all the new faces they have on the team. They are going up against a West Virginia team that is 3-3 this season and is also in the 1st year of a new head coach but they also have the comfort of being at home here. West Virginia has 3 losses this season but 2 of them came at a neutral location against 2 good teams in SMU and Virginia. They also have 1 loss at home against Monmouth but they have won their other 3 games there. St. John's is going to be put to the test here in their 1st road game of the season as West Virginia has been much better on their home court this year. West Virginia has also been much better on the defensive end as they average close to 10 points less allowed per game than St. John's does and West Virginia also has a size advantage with their starters.
