Western Carolina is coming into this game with an 11-2 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. Their only 2 losses this season were both on the road but they have won their last 5 straight games since then. They did win 2 of their last 5 games on the road, but both of those wins came against teams with losing records and they also have 2 wins at home in that span against schools who are not in Division I so even though they have recovered with 5 straight wins since losing their only 2 games this season, they have also had a very weak schedule in that span. They also struggled to win their last game on the road as they only won by 1 point and they have had a few of those close wins by just a few points on the road this season as they have not been as strong in those games. They are going up against a Citadel team that is 8-5 this season and has also been playing very well in their recent games. They have won their last 2 straight as well as 5 of their last 6 games with their only loss in that span coming on the road against a good 9-4 College of Charleston team. They did lose their 1st home game of the season in a close game against Boston College who is 9-4 right now, but they have won their last 4 straight games at home since then and have been much better there with all of their wins coming by 10+ points. The Citadel is a much more dominant team at home and they always get up for Western Carolina as they have won the last 3 meetings with them, including both meetings last season when The Citadel was only a 10-22 team while Western Carolina finished with a winning record.
