The Broncos are coming into this game with an 8-8 record this season but they have already been eliminated from playoff contention this season. The Broncos have had a very interesting season with Sean Payton in his 1st year as they had one of the biggest turnarounds in the NFL after a 1-5 start to the season but they were not able to finish off strong in these last few weeks. They won their last game against the Chargers who were missing most of their offense but that loss against the Patriots at home in the week prior is really what killed their playoff hopes this year. Now this team will be looking to next season since they also have a lot going on this offseason with their quarterback situation and they are not going to be fully focused on this final game of the season that is meaningless when they have so many other in-house distractions to deal with. They are going up against a Raiders team that is 7-9 this season and has also been eliminated from playoff contention, but the Raiders still have plenty to play for here. They have also had a very interesting season as they have managed to stay somewhat competitive since the firing of their head coach Josh McDaniels. They have a better record under interim Antonio Pierce than they did with McDaniels and there is clearly fight in this team in every game they play. They have won 2 of their last 3 games as well and were very close to beating the Colts last week in a comeback. The Raiders may not have playoffs to play for here but this is a very scrappy team with an interim head coach trying to prove he can be a coach in this league and a rookie quarterback trying to show he can be a starter in this league. The Raiders are going to finish the season strong here at home. The Raiders will cover the spread in this game.
