The Eagles are coming into this game with an 11-5 record this season but they really shot themselves in the foot last week with their loss to the Cardinals. Prior to that loss, they were in control of the division as they had the tiebreaker over the Cowboys but that loss put them behind the mark and they now need a Cowboys loss to the Commanders, which seems unlikely, and a win in this game to win the NFC East. The Eagles have not been playing well recently either as their loss to the 49ers a few weeks ago really exposed them and they have now lost 4 of their last 5 games as they stumble to the finish line. They are going up against a Giants team that is 5-11 this season and has nothing to play for here with the season they have had, but in this game at home against a division rival like the Eagles who went to the Super Bowl last season, the Giants will get up for this game with a chance to stop the Eagles from winning the division as well. The Giants defense has been playing much better in their recent games and now their offense is catching up as well. They have lost their last 3 straight games but they have played much better in their last 2 with Tyrod Taylor back at quarterback. The Giants were very close to beating the Rams last week in a game the Rams needed to win as the Giants lost 26-25 at home, but even the week prior they lost to the Eagles on the road 33-25 in a game where they just kept coming back. Now the Eagles have still been struggling recently and with the very slim chance of winning the division, it is tough to see the starters for the Eagles playing this full game when they have so many other problems to deal with before the playoffs. The Giants were in that game against Philadelphia a few weeks ago and they are going to be hungry to finish their season with a win here at home against a struggling Eagles team.
