The Packers are coming into this game after beating the Cowboys in Dallas 48-32 in the Wild Card Round last week. They took a very early lead in that game and never looked back as that was clearly their game plan from the start knowing how the Cowboys struggle to play from behind, but now they are going up against a much better 49ers team and the Packers are going to have a much tougher time getting ahead in this game to play with a lead. The 49ers are the number 1 seed in the NFC with 12 wins this season but 11 of their 12 wins this year were also by 10+ points as they are a very dominant team. The 49ers have a very balanced offense with their run game and a great quarterback in Brock Purdy who has brought an explosive element to this offense not seen in previous years. Brock Purdy has also been very good when under pressure this season as he led the NFL in passer rating when pressured so he will be able to expose this Packers secondary when they come after him. The Packers do not have the defense to stop this potent 49ers running game either which is only going to open up the passing game more for them. The 49ers have one of the best offenses in the NFL with the talent they have at skill positions, but they also have one of the best defenses in the NFL which has been suffocating teams all season. The Packers also leaned on their running game against the Cowboys last week as the Cowboys have struggled in recent weeks to stop the run, but the 49ers have a much better run defense than Dallas and they are going to be able to shut down Jones here which will put more stress on Love to beat the 49ers with his arm, something he will not do. The 49ers are the much better team here in every way and they are not going to get caught offguard here like the Cowboys were last week. The 49ers will cover the spread in this game.
