AMEDEUS' NFC CHAMPIONSHIP REDZONE ROUT!
(NFL) Detroit vs. San Francisco,
Point Spread: -7.00 | -115.00 San Francisco (Home)
Result: Loss
The Lions are coming into this game with a lot of confidence as they were 12-5 during the regular season and they have won their last 3 straight as well as 5 of their last 6 games. They won their last game against the Buccaneers 31-23 and won their 1st playoff game against the Rams 24-23, but in both of those games they struggled to really pull away from their opponent. Against the Rams, the Lions got out to an early lead which they ended up blowing and then their offense stalled in the 2nd half as they barely won the game by 1 point. Against the Buccaneers, they pretty much matched the Bucs every step of the way until the 4th quarter when the Lions finally started to dominate the game more, but they still allowed the Bucs opportunities to come back as well. The Lions have a very strong offense as they have been scoring a lot of points this season, but their offense has also been very different in stadiums with no roof. The Lions offense has been averaging over 30 points scored per game this season but when playing in games with no roof on the stadium, the Lions offense has averaged under 20 points scored per game as Goff has performed very differently in those games. The Lions have also been rolling recently but they have actually played 11 of their last 12 games in stadiums with a roof, the only game in that span where they were playing outside being their 28-13 loss against the Bears. They are going up against a 49ers team that is the number 1 seed in the NFC and has a lot of weapons to attack this Lions defense with. The Lions offense has been great inside this year but this game is not inside and as nice as their offense has been, defense wins championships and that is something this Lions team lacks, especially with their passing defense. Brock Purdy did not have a great game last week but he has improved this offense a lot since taking over last season as the offense averages more points per game with Purdy than it ever did with Jimmy G running it. Purdy is going to bounce back in this game and he has many weapons to attack the Lions with, especially with Deebo likely to play which will be a huge boost to their offense. The 49ers also have the much better defense which gives them an edge there. The 49ers have not covered the spread in their last few home games either but this where that trend stops as the 49ers are the better team and they will show it here. The 49ers will cover the spread in this game.
