AMEDEUS' MLB DIAMOND DINGER!
(MLB) Toronto vs. Houston,
Money Line: -137.00 Houston (Home)
Result: Win
The Blue Jays are coming into this game with a 2-2 record this season and they have already been very inconsistent with their offense in these first 4 games. They are coming off of a 9-2 win against the Rays in their last game and they have scored 8+ runs in 2 of their 4 games, but they have also scored 2 runs or less in their other 2 games which they lost. Bowden Francis is starting for the Jays in this game and he pitched well in Spring Training as he was 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA, but he does not have any experience in the MLB as a starter. This is going to be his 3rd season in the league but this will be his first ever start as he has only pitched out of the bullpen in the MLB. He is going to struggle in this first ever MLB start and it does not help that they are going up against an Astros team that just got swept by the Yankees at home and are now 0-4 to start the season so they are going to be hungry to bounce back in this game. Ronel Blanco is starting for the Astros here and he has been a much better starter with more experience starting as well. He is also in his 3rd MLB season and started his career pitching out of the bullpen, but last season he got a lot of work in as a starter in the 2nd half of the season and he did not pitch poorly. He also showed a lot of improvement in Spring Training as he went 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA, allowing no runs in a little under 16 innings pitched. The Astros offense has not scored as many runs as the Blue Jays have but their offense has been more consistent as they have scored at least 3 runs in 3 of their last 4 games and the Astros are going to be hungry to pick up their 1st win of the season here at home. The Astros will win this game at home and get their 1st win of the season here.
