The Orioles are coming into this game with a 4-2 record this season and they are coming off of a 4-3 win against the Royals in their last game. They have not been trending to the over in their recent games but their offense has been very good and consistent in their games. They have scored at least 4 runs in 2 of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 6 games. They are going up against a Pirates team that is 6-1 this season and their offense has also been very good in their games. They are coming off of a 7-4 win against the Nationals in their last game and their offense has scored at least 7 runs in 4 of their last 5 games. They have also seen 8 runs total or more in all 7 of their games this season. Grayson Rodriguez is starting for the Orioles here and he is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA this season. He pitched well in his 1st start as he allowed 1 earned run in 6 innings against the Angels, but the Angels offense has not been as hot as the Pirates to start the season and Rodriguez was not a lights out starter last year either as he finished the season with a 4.35 ERA and is only in his 2nd ever MLB season now. The Orioles bullpen has also been shaky to start the season and they are going to give up runs in this game with the way the Pirates have been hitting. Jared Jones is starting for the Pirates though and he is 1-0 with a 4.76 ERA this season. He made his MLB debut against the Marlins last week and allowed 3 earned runs in a little under 6 innings pitched, but the Marlins offense has also been ice cold so those 3 runs allowed are not great and now he is making just his 2nd ever MLB start here. The Orioles have a very good offense and it has been consistent this season, they are going to score runs on Jones and the Pirates bullpen, but the Pirates also have their own potent offense to lean on. Between these two teams, there will be enough runs in this game to push it over the total.
