The Guardians are coming into this game with a 49-26 record this season and they have been heating up in their recent games. They have won their last 5 straight games, sweeping the Blue Jays in their last series, and their offense has been great in these. They have scored at least 6 runs in each of their last 5 games, and their pitching has also been great as they have been averaging under 3 runs allowed per game in that span. They are going up against an Orioles team that is 49-28 this season but they have been cooling off in their recent games. They have lost their last 3 straight games and their pitching has been awful in these as they were swept by the Astros. They put a lot of effort into beating the Yankees in their series a week ago, but they followed up with a game in Houston which they scored 11 runs in and still lost. Their offense has not been as good since then as they have only scored 1 run in each of their last 2 games, and their pitching has been awful as they have allowed 27 runs in their last 3 games. Cade Povich is starting for the Orioles in this game and he is 0-1 with a 3.94 ERA this season. He has had 3 starts this year and has been great since his 1st start of the season as he allowed 6 earned runs in that start and has only allowed 1 earned run in 2 starts since then. He is still just a rookie though and does not have much experience pitching in the MLB so a hot offense like the Guardians will find ways to score runs against him, and the Orioles bullpen has not been pitching well recently either which could be the difference in this game. Tanner Bibee is starting for the Guardians here and he is 5-2 with a 3.65 ERA this season. He is coming off of a great start which he allowed no runs in 6 innings in an 8-0 win over the Mariners, and he will be looking to stay in form here. He also has the much better bullpen to back him up in this game and the Guardians offense has been the better one recently as well. The Guardians will win this game.
