Just like the Jays offense, Bassitt has been very inconsistent with his pitching all season, and recently he has not been pitching well. He has allowed at least 3 earned runs in each of his 3 starts in July and he is coming off of a start which he allowed 5 earned runs in against the Tigers who do not have a great offense this year. He has also been allowing a lot of hits in his recent starts while not striking many batters out. He has faced the Rays twice this season as well, allowing 3 runs at home in a 4-3 loss and allowing 5 runs on the road in an 8-2 loss. Bassitt is not going to keep the Rays offense off the board here and the Rays always get up for their series against the Jays. The Rays will win this game.
