Kent State is coming into this game with a 0-3 record this season and they have not been good in any of their games. Their best game was their 1st game of the season which they lost on the road to Pittsburgh 55-24, and it has been all downhill from there. They followed up that loss with a very poor performance, losing 23-17 at home against St Francis PA who is an FCS team, and now they are coming off of a 71-0 loss on the road to Tennessee who was up 37-0 by the end of the 1st quarter. They are going up against a Penn State team that is 2-0 this season, but they struggled more in their last game. They beat Bowling Green 34-27 at home, but they were down 24-20 at half and had to fight to win that game. They got out of there with the win and had their bye week last week, but they have been sitting on that poor performance for 2 weeks now and they will be eager to put on a better show at home in this game. Kent State is only averaging 147 passing yards and 54.3 rushing yards per game this season. They are also averaging over 280 passing yards and rushing yards allowed per game. They are the single worst team in FBS this season and there is no better get right game for Penn State to have right before conference play starts next week. Penn State is going to be looking for a quick start after their last game and they have the quality to score 60 points here while not allowing anything from this awful Kent State offense.
