Texas is coming into this game with a 3-0 record this season. They have won both of their home games this season by 49+ points and their only road game was a quality win over Michigan, winning 31-12. They are going up against a Louisiana Monroe team that is 2-0 this season and they are coming off of a bye week, but they have not had any quality wins. Their 1st win came against an FCS team and they are coming off of a win against BYU in their last game, but this is still their 1st road game of the season with a brand new head coach and it is not going to be easy taking on the number 1 team in the country. Texas has announced that Arch Manning will be starting in this game and even with Ewers being the guy for this team, Manning will want to go out there and prove why he should be the starter instead. He was electric when he came into the game last week and he is only going to continue that here with ULM allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 75.4% of their passes this season. ULM is not going to stop Texas from scoring at home with the quality difference here, and their offense is going to struggle as well. They are a run heavy team but Texas has a good run defense and will not need to do much to stop them. Texas will also be able to focus more on stopping the run as this passing offense has been awful and will not be able to attack this Texas secondary. They are only averaging 109.5 passing yards per game as their starting quarterback, General Booty, has thrown for 191 passing yards total in 2 games this season. Texas is eventually going to pull away where ULM will have to abondon the run game and they will not have a way back in the game once that happens. Texas is going to cover the spread in this game.
