The Lions are coming into this game with a 1-1 record this season and they have not been a very dominant team in either game. They won their 1st game of the season at home against the Rams 26-20, but they needed OT to win that game. Now they are coming off of a loss at home in their last game, losing 20-16 to the Buccaneers, and they are going to be hungry to bounce back in this game. This is their 1st road game of the season, but they have the quality to go into Arizona and win as they have done very well there the last few years. They are going up against a Cardinals team that is 1-1 this season and has played well in both games. They shocked the Bills in their 1st game of their season, losing 34-28 in the end but coming out of the gate on fire in that game. Then they followed with a huge 41-10 win over the Rams in their last game which was a divisional game for them. The Cardinals have been very good in the run game in both games this season and that has helped them a lot in the passing game, but the Lions have a much better run defense than the 2 teams they have faced. The Lions have not allowed 90 rushing yards total in a game this season and they are going to be able to slow down this Cardinals run game which will have a negative impact on their passing as well. The Lions have allowed 20 points in both of their games this season, but their defense was much better overall last week even though they lost, only allowing less than 270 yards of total offense in the game. The Lions have also been racking up yards on offense themselves, they have just stalled in the redzone, but they will not have that problem here as the Cardinals do not have a great redzone defense. The Cardinals beat up on a banged up Rams team at home last week, but their defense struggled to keep the Bills from scoring in their 1st game and they will have a similar problem against this Lions offense that has so many weapons both on the ground and in the receiving game. The Lions offense will have a much better game here, but their defense will be the true stars that win them this game. The Lions will cover the spread in this game.
