Auburn is coming into this game with a 2-3 record this season and they are 0-2 in the SEC. They have lost 2 straight conference games, losing both games at home to Arkansas and Oklahoma, but this is a game they are going to get up for and they are going to be hungry to have a much better game. They are going up against a Georgia team that is 3-1 this season and they are 1-1 in the SEC. They are coming off of their 1st loss of the season, losing on the road to Alabama 41-34, but that game was much worse than the score indicates. Georgia fought back hard in the 2nd half to take the lead near the end of the game, but they were trailing 28-0 early in that game and did not have the lead for long once they got it. They have not been as dominant in the conference this season either, their only win coming on the road against Kentucky but in a 13-12 game. Georgia's defense has not been great this season and Auburn is going to have opportunities to move the ball here. Auburn has a very balanced offense that runs the ball well and has also been throwing for a lot of yards so they will find ways to move the ball on this defense with an offensive minded coach like Hugh Freeze. This is only Freeze's 2nd season at Auburn but he needs a statement game after their last 2 games in the SEC, and this is a great spot for him to try and make a statement while Georgia is down after their loss. Freeze did very well against Georgia in his 1st season at Auburn as well, losing at home but keeping it very close in a 27-20 loss. Auburn does not have a bad defense either so they are going to give Georgia some trouble since Georgia has not had a great run game this season, relying too much on Carson Beck in the offense. Auburn's defense will be able to slow down this Georgia offense while Auburn's offense gets enough done to keep this from being a blowout. Auburn will cover the spread in this game.
