AMEDEUS' CFB FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS OUT!
(NCAAF) Ducks (ORE) vs. Boilermakers (PUR),
Point Spread: 29.50 | -110.00 Boilermakers (PUR) (Home)
Result: Loss
Oregon is coming into this game with a 6-0 record this season and they are coming off of a big win against Ohio State in their last game. They beat Ohio State at home 32-31, but now they are going on the road against a much weaker team and this is a bit of a let down spot against a team they could be overlooking. Oregon has played 2 road games this season but both were on the West coast, playing UCLA and Oregon State in those, but now this will be their 1st road game of the season where they have to travel more East. Oregon has not been blowing teams out this season either, winning 5 of their 6 games this season by 21 points or less. They are going up against a Purdue team that has been awful this season at 1-5 and they are 0-3 in the conference as well, but they played much better in their last game. They changed their starting quarterback in their last game as well as the playcaller and there was a massive difference in performance, scoring 49 points in a 50-49 road loss to Illinois who has been good this year. Now Purdue will have their 1st game at home with this new look and they are going to get up for one of the best in the country. Ryan Browne had over 100 rushing yards in their last game as well, so he brings a dual threat ability to this offense and the Oregon defense will struggle more to defend that. Purdue was also much better on defense in their last home game, only allowing 28 points in their loss to Nebraska, and their only win this season was against an FCS team in Indiana State so they are going to be hungry to get a win. Purdue will fight hard to stay in this game at home and they will be able to score enough points to keep this game within the spread as this will be a tough spot for Oregon. Purdue will cover the spread in this game.
