The Chargers are coming into this game with a 3-2 record this season and they have been playing very well on defense this year. They have one of the better defenses in the league this season and have only allowed 20 points in 1 of their 5 games. They have allowed 17 points or less in 4 of their 5 games this season and they are getting another struggling offense in this game. They are going up against a Cardinals team that is 2-4 this season and they have lost 3 of their last 4 games. Their only win in that span was on the road against the 49ers who have also been struggling quite a bit this season. Their offense has been awful in these games though, scoring 14 points or less in 3 of their last 4 games and 2 of those being at home as well. They are coming off of a 34-13 loss against the Packers in their last game and it was another game that they struggled on offense as they could not run the ball effectively. The Cardinals have not been passing the ball well with Kyler Murray in most of their games this season so they have been very reliant on the run game, but this is a game that they are going to struggle to run the ball in. The Chargers have a very good defense already and they have been stopping the run well in their games, they will be able to shut down this Cardinals run game and that is going to make everything else difficult for this offense. The Chargers are also a very run heavy team themselves, but the Cardinals have an awful defense that has allowed 30+ points in 2 of their last 3 games and they have really struggled to stop the run all season as well. They will not be able to stop this Chargers run game and that is only going to open things up for Herbert to burn this defense as they have not been defending anything well this season.
