The Thunder are coming into this game off of a great season which they finished as the number 1 seed in the Western Conference. They were kicked out of the playoffs by the Mavericks after sweeping the Pelicans in the 1st round, but this is still a very young team that has drastically improved over the last 3 seasons. They are going to continue to get better this season and they will be hungry to start their season off on the right foot. They are going up against a Nuggets team that is also coming off of a great season as they were the number 2 seed in the Western Conference. They were kicked out by the Timberwolves last season, but this is also a team they have struggled against over the last year. The Nuggets have added some depth to their bench but overall the core team has remained the same. The Nuggets have actually lost the last 3 straight meetings with the Thunder, including 2 meetings in Denver. The Thunder have tweaked their lineup a bit this season as they traded Giddey for Caruso, but the rest of the core pieces have remained the same and this is a team they know how to beat as they smacked them around last season. The Thunder will cover the spread in this game.
