The Timberwolves are coming into this game with a 0-1 record this season as they already have a game under their belt. They lost their 1st game of the season against the Lakers, losing on the road 110-103. The Timberwolves made some big changes to their lineup this season as they traded away Karl Anthony Towns for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo, but that trade has not worked out so far. They lost their 1st game in LA with this new combination and they played like a team with no heart on the court. It is also going to take some time for the players to get used to their new teammates and build chemistry. They are going up against a Kings team that has not played a game this season and is going to get up for their home opener here. The Kings have not changed their core group of players much this season either, but they did add DeMar DeRozan to the team and that will be a very good addition for them. The Kings missed the playoffs altogether last season after being a top 3 seed the year before so they are going to be hungry to start their season on the right foot and improve this year. The Kings were a much better team at home last season as well and they actually won 2 of the 3 meetings against the Timberwolves, including the very last meeting.
