The Leafs are coming into this game with a 4-4-1 record this season and they have been awful in their recent games. They have lost their last 3 straight games and have been awful in 2 of those losses, but they played much better in their last game. They are coming off of a 4-3 loss on the road against the Bruins in their last game and they fought hard to make that a very close game. The Bruins needed OT to win that game at home, but the Leafs came very close as they put up a good fight but now they are only going to be hungrier to bounce back and break their losing streak. They are going up against a Jets team that is 8-0-0 this season and has been playing very well to start the season. They are the only undefeated team left in the league, but recently they have been struggling more in their wins. They started this 8 game win streak blowing teams out at the start of the season, but now they have won 2 of their last 3 games by just 1 goal, needing OT in one of those as well. They are coming off of a 5-3 win against the Flames in their last game, but this is also going to be their 1st game back from a road trip. Their defense was also great to start the season, but they have not been as good recently. They have allowed at least 3 goals in each of their last 2 as well as 4 of their last 5 games, and this Leafs offense is starting to heat up again. The Jets have a big target on their back as the only undefeated team left in the league and the Leafs are going to be hungry to bounce back here and snap their losing streak. They only played the Jets twice last season but they won both meetings, beating the Jets 1-0 at home and 4-2 in Winnipeg. The Leafs will win this game.
