Wisconsin is coming into this game with a 5-3 record this season and they are 3-2 in the conference. They have played much better in their recent games since making a change at quarterback, winning 3 of their last 4 games, but they have also had a very weak schedule in that span. They have won 3 of their last 4 games, but all 3 of those wins have come against teams currently sitting in the bottom 4 of the conference with 1 win or less this season against Big 10 opponents. They are coming off of a 28-13 loss at home to Penn State in their last game and have struggled against better teams this season. They are going up against an Iowa team that is also 5-3 this season and 3-2 in the conference, but they have also been dominant at home. They have won 2 of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 6 games and both of their losses in that span came on the road. Their only loss at home this season came against their rival Iowa State, but they are 4-1 there and have won their last 3 straight games at home, scoring 38+ points in all 3 of those games as well. Their offense has been much better there, but their defense has also been better as they have allowed 16 points or less in each of their last 2 games. Wisconsin still loves to run the ball in their games as they average more runs than passes per game and have a good run game averaging 179.9 rushing yards per game and 4.9 yards per carry, but Iowa also has a very good run defense, allowing 104.1 rushing yards per game and 3.5 yards per carry, so Wisconsin is going to struggle to run the ball and become 1-dimensional very quickly. The team has played better with Braedyn Locke at quarterback, but he has not played that great himself as he is only completing 57.6% of his passes this season and has 7 passing TDs with 6 interceptions. Wisconsin also has a defense that can be run on and Iowa has a very powerful run game averaging 209 rushing yards per game and 5.7 yards per carry. Wisconsin is going to have a lot more trouble moving the ball in this game while Iowa will have no trouble against this defense, and they will be able to feed off of the energy of the home crowd as well. Iowa will cover the spread in this game.
