The Devils are coming into this game with a 7-5-2 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. They have won 2 of their last 3 games and their offense has been on fire in these, scoring 6+ goals in 2 of their last 3 games. They are coming off of a 3-0 loss to the Flames on the road in their last game though and they have been sitting on that loss since Friday. They were also shut out in that game so they are going to be hungry to bounce back with a better game and they will get up to respond in this one after going scoreless. They are going up against an Oilers team that is 6-5-1 this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. They have won their last 2 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 games and their offense has also been great in these as they have scored 9 goals total between their last 2. This is a tough spot for them though as they are coming off of a 4-2 win on the road against the Flames on Sunday. That was a hard fought win in a rivalry game and now they are going to be on a B2B here. This is also their 1st game back home from a 4 game road trip after winning 3 of those 4 games, but this is a bad spot to be back at home on the B2B. The Devils are going to be hungry to bounce back here after getting shut out in their last game and their defense has been very good this season so they can keep this Oilers offense which will be feeling the fatigue at bay.
