The Golden Knights are coming into this game with an 8-3-1 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. They have won 5 of their last 6 games, but all 5 of those wins came at home. They are coming off of a 4-3 win against Utah in their last game, winning that game in OT, but their defense has not been good in these games. They have allowed at least 3 goals in each of their last 2 as well as 4 of their last 5 games and most of those games were at home as well. They have been awful on the road this season as they have lost all 4 of their games on the road. Their defense has been much worse in these games as well, allowing at least 4 goals in all 4 of their road games this year and allowing 6 goals in their last one. They are going up against an Oilers team that is 6-6-1 this season but they have been playing much better in their recent games after a bad start to the season. They have won 2 of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 6 games and their defense has been great in these. They have allowed 2 goals or less in 2 of their last 3 as well as 4 of their last 6 games, but their offense has also been good as they have scored 4+ goals in 2 of their last 3 games. They are coming off of a 3-0 loss against the Devils in their last game, but that was also the 1st game back home after a 4 game road trip out East for the Oilers. They will be hungry to bounce back in this game at home, especially after getting shut out by the Devils. The Golden Knights have been struggling on the road this season with bad defense and no wins while the Oilers have been much better recently, playing better on defense and will be hungry to score after going scoreless. The Oilers will win this game at home.
