AMEDEUS' NFL PRIME TIME MONDAY MAULER!
(NFL) Ravens (BAL) vs. Chargers (LAC),
Total: 51.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
The Ravens are coming into this game with a 7-4 record this season and they are coming off of an 18-16 loss to the Steelers in their last game. They have been playing in some high scoring games recently as their offense has been on fire, but they have struggled more against better defenses like their game last week, scoring just 16 points on the road in Pittsburgh, and they are going to struggle more against the number 1 defense in the league that is averaging just 14.5 points allowed per game this season. The Ravens have also been much better on defense themselves recently as they have allowed 18 points or less in 2 of their last 3 games. They are going up against a Chargers team that is 7-3 this season and they have been playing in a lot of lower scoring games with that great defense. They are coming off of a 34-27 win against the Bengals in their last game which did see some points in it, but they also had a 24-6 lead at halftime in that game and almost blew it so they are going to be more focused on protecting their lead here, especially with the magnitude of this game for Jim Harbaugh. The Chargers have actually seen 44 points total or less in 9 of their 10 games this season, and 8 of those 10 games saw under 40 points total as well. The Chargers have been much better on offense recently after struggling in the 1st part of the season, but the Ravens defense has improved as well so they are not going to move the ball as easily as they did last week against the Bengals defense which has been one of the worst in the league. This is also a big game for Jim Harbaugh since he is 0-2 against his brother with his last loss coming 12 years ago in the Super Bowl so this is a game that his team is going to get up for and he will have his defense ready to shut down Lamar Jackson and this potent Ravens offense. Both teams also love to run the ball and both will try to establish the run here so that is going to milk the clock as well and lead to a slower paced game with longer drives on both sides. This is going to be a lower scoring and more defensive game that stays under the total.
