Xavier is coming into this game with a 21-11 record this season and they were 13-7 in their conference this season. They are coming off of an 89-87 loss against Marquette in their only game of the Big East Tournament, but they were one of the hotter teams to end the season as they won 7 straight games going into that tournament. They were also great in their non-conference schedule as they were 8-3 in those games, their only 3 losses coming against Michigan and 2 teams from the Big 12. They did have a win against Wake Forest in that span and they were also 1-0 against the SEC this season with a 75-66 win against South Carolina at a neutral location, South Carolina being a team that Texas lost their only meeting to. They are going up against a Texas team that is 19-15 this season and they were 6-12 in their conference. Texas made a little run in the SEC Tournament before losing to Tennessee by 11 points and they have won 3 of their last 5 games, but they struggled a lot in their own conference and even lost to some of the worst teams in it.
