Yale is coming into this game with a 22-7 record this season and they were 13-1 in their conference. They dominated their conference all year and won the conference tournament, but this is not a strong Yale team compared to previous years and they were not great in their non-conference schedule either. They were only 7-6 in their non-conference games with quite a few losses to teams from weak conferences. They only played 2 power conference teams as well, losing to Purdue by 8 points and to Minnesota by 3 points, but Minnesota was also so bad that they did not even qualify for the Big 10 Tournament. They have not had a taste of the best conference in the country yet though. They are going up against a Texas A&M team that is 22-10 this season and they were 11-7 in their conference. They lost to Texas in the SEC tournament and were starting to spiral near the end of the season, but they have won 2 of their last 3 games with a win over Auburn in that span and they are going to have a bit more confidence coming into this tournament now. They were a great team for most of the SEC season and were also great in their non-conference games as they were 11-2. Their only 2 losses were to Oregon who is a tournament team and a 3 point loss on the road against UCF in their 1st game of the season. Not only were they 11-2 in the non-conference, they also won multiple games against power conference teams and won all 5 of their games against non-power conference teams by 10+ points.
