Norfolk State is coming into this game with a 24-10 record this season and they were 11-3 in the conference. They have been playing very well recently as they have won their last 4 straight as well as 12 of their last 14 games. They did not play in a strong conference and they were not great in the non-conference as they were 9-7 in those, but they did have a few tests. They did not have the strongest non-conference schedule, but they did play 3 power conference teams in Tennessee, Baylor, and Stanford, all 3 of those games being on the road, and they did not lose any of those games by 29+ points. They have not lost a single game by 29+ points all season as well. They are going up against a Florida team that is 30-4 this season and they were 14-4 in their conference. They were one of the better teams in the best conference in the country and won the SEC Tournament as well. They were also great in the non-conference as they started the season 13-0, but they only won 3 of those games by 29+ points as some of the non-power conference teams from weaker conferences were able to keep it a respectable score. Florida has a lot more quality on their team and are the much better team in every way as they are one of the favorites to win the tournament, but they could be overlooking their 1st round opponent here as a number 1 seed. Florida also has nothing to prove here so they will be more concerned with resting starters to avoid unneccesary injuries if they do get out to a large lead here.
