McNeese State is coming into this game with a 28-6 record this season and they were 19-1 in their conference. They dominated their conference all year and have been on fire recently, winning their last 12 straight games. They were not tested too often in the non-conference, but they did play well against 2 SEC teams, losing to Alabama on the road by 8 and to Mississippi State by 3 at a neutral location. Now they are coming off of a 69-67 win against a good Clemson team in the 1st round, a game they led for most of the time, and they are going to have that confidence in this game as well. They are going up against a Purdue team that is 23-11 this season and they were 13-7 in their conference. They are coming off of a 75-63 win against High Point in the 1st round, but there were times where Purdue let High Point back into the game when they had a big lead and that will come back to bite them here against McNeese. Both of these teams have been shooting well this season but do not take a lot of attempts from the field and from 3. McNeese has also been the better rebounding team and they have been much better defending those shots. McNeese State will cover the spread in this game.
