BYU is coming into this game with a 26-9 record this season and they were 14-6 in their conference. They have been on fire in their recent games as they have won their last 2 straight as well as 11 of their last 12 games, their only loss in that span coming against Houston in the Big 12 Tournament, but they do have some quality wins in that span as well. They beat VCU 80-71 in the 1st round and they are coming off of a 91-89 win against Wisconsin in their last game, but Wisconsin never led in that game as BYU dominated both of those games up and down the court. They are going up against an Alabama team that is 27-8 this season and they were 13-5 in their conference. They have also been playing well recently as they have won their last 2 straight as well as 4 of their last 5 games, but they have not been that dominant in these games. They were stumbling to end the season as they lost 4 out of 6 games before beating Auburn in their last game of the regular season, but they still got kicked out of the SEC Tournament by Florida in a game they lost 104-82. They have not played any tough opponents in this tournament either, beating Robert Morris and Saint Mary's in the first 2 rounds, but they struggled in both of those games. They beat Robert Morris 90-81, but that game was back and forth, Alabama even trailing late in that game. Now they are coming off of an 80-66 win against Saint Mary's, but Saint Mary's could not make any shots and Alabama still struggled to pull away for a while. Alabama has one of the better offenses in the country, but they give up a lot of points and BYU has the offense to keep themselves in this game with Alabama. BYU will cover the spread in this game.
