Arkansas is coming into this game with a 22-13 record this season and they were 8-10 in their conference. They were not great throughout the season and had to fight their way into this tournament, but recently they have been playing much better as they have won their last 2 straight as well as 5 of their last 6 games. They have played well in this tournament, but they also had better matchups in their first 2 games. They beat Kansas in the 1st round and this was a Kansas team that certainly underperformed this season by their standard. Now they are coming off of a win against a very good St John's team, but St John's could not make any shots in that game which was the key to Arkansas winning that game. St John's was awful in that game as they went 21/75 from the field and 2/22 from 3 and that really hurt them, but Arkansas was not any better as they were 2/19 from the 3 and that is going to get them into trouble here. They are going up against a Texas Tech team that is 27-8 this season and they were 15-5 in their conference. They have been playing very well recently as they have won their last 2 straight as well as 6 of their last 7 games. They have not played any strong opponents as they beat UNC Wilmington 82-72 in the 1st round, struggling to pull away in that game, and they are coming off of a 77-64 win against Drake in the last round, but Drake also dominated a very good Missouri team and Texas Tech was able to dominate Drake from start to finish in that game, playing much better than their 1st round game. Arkansas has played well in this tournament, but they got 2 easier matchups in their 2 rounds and they are still a team that has not shot the ball well all season. Texas Tech is a very good shooting team and they will be able to dominate this game like they did in their last. Texas Tech will cover the spread in this game.
