Verlander pitched decently in his start last week and he is on the mound for the Giants home opener. The Giants offense has looked good this season while the Mariners have struggled on offense to produce hits and runs. With F. Castillo on the mound who hasn’t pitched in the MLB since 2022, who is the other Castillo on the roster, the Giants will still have the edge because they are producing runs and getting on base, while Seattle is cool in that department starting Castillo at this point who has to shake off a lot of rust in this game.
