We will begin with talking about the expected starting pitchers though our play is action. Logan Webb takes the mound for San Francisco and Brandon Williamson goes for Cincinnati today. Williamson is having a rough season and his ERA is 5.21 in the majors here in his rookie season. This should not be a huge surprise as he also went a combined 3-9 in his two minor league seasons that were at the AAA level. Williamson, in fact, had a 6.62 ERA in his 8 minor league starts with AAA Louisville this season. He will be no match for Webb who is coming off a gem and has completed at least 6.2 innings in 13 of his last 16 starts! He has been a very efficient and effective hurler for SF. Webb has struck out 21 batters in his last two starts and is coming off a complete game shutout in his most recent outing! The Reds actually are a game under .500 in home games this season and are 21-26 this season when facing teams with a winning record. The Giants are, on the other hand, 15-9 against left-handed starters and 16-7 against teams from the NL Central this season. San Francisco has won 6 of 7 games and allowed only 2.4 runs per game in those 7 games! The Reds, on the other hand, have lost 5 of 6 games and have averaged scoring just 1.2 runs per game in those 6 losses. Road blowout likely here. Lay it!
