#339 ASA FREE PICK on Georgia Tech +6.5 over NC State, Saturday at 4:00 PM ET - NC State is 7-3 on the season and we think that is a false record, so to speak. They have only been favored in 4 of their 10 games this year and they are getting outgained by an average of 28 YPG this season. Despite their 7 wins, the Wolfpack have a point differential of just +5 on the season. Last week they beat a 1-9 Syracuse team by just 7 points and the Orange had the ball deep in NC State territory late in the game with a chance to tie. Georgia Tech came off a long layoff last week and crushed Duke putting up 377 yards on the ground. The Jackets are a young team and head coach Collins said the layoff was good for his team as they were able to work on some things they needed to in order to improve. No spring practice and a shortened fall camp hurt the progression of this young GT team. They played their best game of the season last week (56-33 win) and we think they are a dangerous team this week. The Yellow Jackets have played the much tougher schedule having to face the ACC’s 2 best teams, Clemson and Notre Dame, while the Wolfpack played neither. If NC State takes this one for granted they’ll get beat. Even if they don’t, we think this goes to the wire.
