Our reports from both camps are the defenses are well ahead of the offenses. The Badgers have had some injuries on the offensive line which could impact this game. Word from Madison is the coaches feel this could be one of their better defenses in the last 5 or 6 years and that’s saying a lot. Wisconsin has allowed less than 20 PPG in 5 of their last 6 seasons including just 17 PPG last year. PSU’s defense comes in underrated in our opinion after giving up 27 PPG last season. They only allowed 329 YPG a year ago but the D was put in a number of short field, bad position situations with the PSU offense turning the ball over at a high rate. The previous 3 seasons the Lion defense allowed an average of just 17 PPG. Possible rain in the forecast on Saturday morning in Madison and this one stays UNDER the total.
