They just pulled off a big upset @ La Tech on Wednesday as a 10 point dog and now they are on the road again just a few days later. It was the Hilltoppers first road win in conference play (now 1-3 SU). JSU has been tough at home with a 3-1 SU mark in CUSA play and they just beat 2nd place Sam Houston State by double digits on Thursday night. The Gamecocks are 4-5 in conference play but they’ve played the most difficult slate in CUSA play and have already beaten the 2nd place team (stated above) and they’ve topped Liberty (2nd highest rated team in CUSA) twice. They faced WKY earlier this season and blew a double digit 2nd half lead on the road and lost by 11. It was a 21 point swing in the final 18 minutes of the game in favor of Western Kentucky. The host Toppers were +18 points from the FT line + 3 point line which was the difference in the game. JSU will be fully focused on this revenge game while WKY may still be celebrating their big win on Wednesday. The Gamecocks hit 50% of their shots at home this season while winning by an average margin of 75-62. In basically a pick-em game, we like Jacksonville State in this one.
