#962 ASA PLAY ON New York Yankees -130 over Seattle Mariners, Monday at 7 PM ET - The Yankees have won 7 in a row and are 16-6 at home this season and have won 15 of 22 games against teams with a winning record on the season.  The Mariners are 11-14 against teams with a winning record this season and they have a losing record in road games.  Seattle is 8-12 against AL teams not in their division.  The Yankees, outside of their division, have gone a combined 19-4 against teams from the AL Central and AL West.  This line is being kept down in price because Gilbert is on the mound for Seattle and his ERA is in the same range as Stroman for the Yankees.  However, Gilbert just gave up 8 earned runs in only 4 innings in his most recent road start.  Stroman has allowed only 5 earned runs in 17 innings over his last 3 starts.  Though neither lineup has extensive experience against these starting pitchers, the Yankees do have a number of hitters with good numbers against Gilbert while that is certainly not the case for the Mariners against Stroman.  That being said, the Yankees hold the starting pitching edge here in addition to home field edge.  The Seattle bullpen has been solid but the Yankees bullpen is first in the majors for team ERA this season.  That is another edge for New York here and also the Yankees are one of the top teams in the majors for slugging percentage while the Mariners rank in the lower half of the league in that category.  The Yankees have averaged 6 runs scored during this win streak plus have allowed an average of only 1 run in the last 6 victories in this heater!   The Mariners have lost 6 of 11 and averaged scoring only 2 runs in those 6 defeats.  Many indicators in favor of the home team at a very fair price in this one.
