ASA play on OVER 164.5 Connecticut Sun at Las Vegas Aces, 10 PM ET - This is a game of contrary styles as the Sun want to play slow and win with their defense and the Aces play fast and try to outscore teams. Las Vegas is 1st in the WNBA in pace of play at 98.91 possessions per game and score more points than every other team at 87.4PPG. The Sun on the other hand are the slowest team in the league and give up just 70.7PPG which is the best number in the W. Las Vegas got a huge boost with the return of former All-Star Chelsea Gray from an injury and we expect to see the Aces play much better than they have to start the season. Connecticut doesn’t shoot it great from beyond the Arc at 30.4% but they have the 3rd highest 2PT% in the league at 44.6%. The Aces are in the bottom half of the league in Defensive Net Rating and opponents FG% while allowing an average of 85.5PPG (4th most). LV recently played a Minnesota Lynx team who is eerily similar to the Sun in terms of ONR and DNR and that game finished with 186 total points. Another great comparison is the Aces/Liberty game recently which ended with 172 total points. These two teams haven’t met this season but last year in three meetings they produced total points of 186, 171 and 174. We expect another high scoring shootout in Vegas.
