#634 ASA PLAY ON Georgia Tech +2.5 or +3 over Pittsburgh, Tuesday at 7 PM ET - Not only is this a terrible spot for Pitt on the road we’re getting some value here with the Panthers off a road win and Ga Tech off a home loss. Pitt topped Duke on the road 80-76 and the normally average at best shooting Panthers shot lights out. They hit over 50% of their overall shots and made half of their 3 pointers. That was well above their season averages of 43% overall and 33% from 3, both ranked outside the top 200. It was just one of those night’s when everything was going in. Duke also played without 2 key starters, Roach & Mitchell, who average 15 PPG and 12 PPG respectively so that win may not have been as impressive as most thought. Just 11 days prior Duke hammered Pitt on the road by 22 points so this game with the quick turnaround was a huge emphasis for the Panthers. Can they get back up and play at an elite level again just a few days later in their 2nd of back to back road games? We don’t think so. We were on Ga Tech on Saturday in their home loss vs Virginia. We like them to bounce back here and we’re getting some value with the Jackets losing 6 of their last 7 games. This is basically the same number (+2.5 to +3) for GT as their home game vs UVA despite the fact most, including us, have Virginia as a higher rated team compared to Pitt. 6 of their 7 losses during this stretch have been by single digits and their win came @ Clemson who is ranked 36th per KenPom. Tech has shown they can beat good teams with wins over Clemson, Mississippi State, and Duke, all top 36 teams. This is a big game for the Yellow Jackets with 2 of their last 3 coming on the road. Pitt has another huge road game up next @ Miami they could be peaking ahead to and we like Ga Tech to win this one. Take the points.
