Kudos to Colorado on its 90-81 overtime victory against fourth-ranked Arizona State this past Thursday. The Buffaloes were nine-point home 'dogs in that game.
But now, less than two days later, the Buffaloes have to face 14th-ranked Arizona. I don't see the inexperienced and emotionally exhausted Buffaloes staying within single digits of the Wildcats. The Buffaloes are 7-19-1 ATS following a victory.
Colorado is a young team that lost four starters and two key reserves from last season. The Buffaloes are better suited to match up against quick tempo teams who shoot a lot from the outside. In other words, opponents similar to Arizona State. Not Arizona.
The Wildcats are in the same state as the Sun Devils, but Arizona plays much different than Arizona State. The Wildcats are about size and power. They have a huge inside force in Deandre Ayton, who is expected to be a high No. 1 pick in June's NBA draft if he leaves college after the season. Arizona ranks seventh in the nation in field goal percentage and is 29th in scoring at 84.2 points per game.
Arizona is the vastly superior team and the spot is good for the Wildcats to roll over the Buffaloes.
(Editor's note: Stephen Nover is one of the hottest college basketball 'cappers in the country going 29-15-2 on his last 46 premium/free plays. Stephen has another strong card going today headed by his MAC Total of the Month.)
