First off, we have two bottom-10 offenses going at it here. The A's have been held to four or fewer runs in nine of their last 10 games.

Of course much of this handicap is based on the starting pitching matchup. That's Frankie Montas versus Ian Kennedy.

Montas made his season debut this past Sunday and looked outstanding beating the Diamondbacks, 2-1. He gave up one run in six innings allowing three hits and striking out seven. It's going to take the league some time before they catch on to him. He had a no-hitter through five innings.

Kennedy has pitched much better at home where his ERA is 3.66 compared to 7.01 on the road. Kennedy also was sharp in his last start allowing two hits and two runs in five innings versus the Rangers.
