The Devils aren't going to stand a chance here if they try to play a defensive game - and they know it. The Flames broke out of a scoring slump with a 6-3 home victory against the Golden Knights on Sunday.

The Flames are the No. 4 scoring team in the NHL. Their 3M Line of Matthew Tkachuk, Mikael Backlund and Michael Frolik is one of the stronger second lines in the league. Calgary's top line of Sean Monahan, Johnny Gaudreau and Elias Lindholm has been slumping, but showed signs of breaking out against Las Vegas. They are not going against an elite goalie either as the Devils will be starting Mackenzie Blackwood.

I see the Devils opening up their game against this opponent. This has turned into a rebuilding year for the Devils so there really isn't any pressue. They do seem to play looser against Western Conference foes with the Over cashing in five of their last six games versus West opponents.
