I can't help but be attracted to the better team getting a solid plus price. That's the case here.
The A's are much superior to the Angels. They have been solid on the road, too, winning 12 of their last 16 away games.
The Angels are favored being at home and because of how well Dylan Bundy has pitched this season. Bundy always flashed, but he never was this consistent when he was with the Orioles. The Angels are a much better fit for Bundy. I've always liked his potential. Perhaps, however, there is some regression coming.
The basis of my handicap is a play on the A's and Mike Fiers at this 'dog price. All the A's do when the righthander pitches is win. They are 21-5 during Fiers' last 26 starts for 81 percent! This includes a 3-0 mark this season.
The Angels have lost 39 of the last 52 times when they faced a righty starter.
